The New EritreanCommunity.com Website
...EritreanCommunity.com has been to become a utility for the unification of Eritreans in the diaspora and to give them the ability to contribute and generate a site that speaks for them directly from their thoughts and contributions. EritreanCommunity.com has been online since 2001. It originated as one of many independent Eritrean sites used to relay and discuss Eritrea related topics. It morphed throughout the years into many forms and included content related to eritrean youth organizations and eritrean community centers in major US cities starting with Denver.
We went on to be the host the first site online to stream Eritrean Music Free and 24/7 to all who are able to connect to the world wide web. We listened to our listeners and spawned off a sister site, Teshamo.com, to constantly deliver on-demand eritrean music categorized and containing the vastest array of eritrean music online available for you leisure at anytime.
While continuing to provide the most current news, a free eritrean music radio, a bulletin for upcoming eritrean events and parties, we continued to provide a medium to discuss all and everything relating to Eritrea to our members and guests.
We at EritreanCommunity.com hope that you understand that often times a site has to grow along with its visitor and we will continue to enhance our site to suit the needs of our guests and our mission. As you may have already noticed we have an image gallery that we created and are planning on expanding regularly. The current collection, From Massawa to the Blue Nile, was compiled a long time ago and was attached as a preliminary test. If you have a picture that you would like hosted on our site and shared with our members leave a comment or use the contact us form.
Another addition is a Classified Ad section that was named Eritrean List. Other names were suggested such as: Eritrean Pages; Eritrean Ads; Eritrean Board and Eritrean Post. The section name is not finalized so if you have a suggestion go ahead and leave a comment.
The Eritrean List named after the popular Craig's List features four sections so far. The sections relate mostly to the Eritrean Community, but is not exclusive to posts that may not be necessarily related. Eritrean Businesses, Community Centers, Events and Services can be posted by our registered visitors.
Finally we are excited to announce the launch of our Online Free 24/7 Internet Radio @ EritreanCommunity.com. The statistics for the radio will be displayed at the bottom of the page, unless the radio is down.

The Eritrean Association of Greater Seattle was founded on November 3, 1994 and was registered as a non-profit, membership based community organization in the State of Washington in July 1995. The Association was also recognized in 1997 by the Internal Revenue Service as a 501(C)(3) non-profit entity.
